Super Hero Mashers ASSEMBLE!

It's not often I miss out on hearing about a range of geeky toys BEFORE they hit retail, but it turns out i did. Me and Viking_Jesse discovered this range of new marvel action figures in our local Target store, and BOY they took us by surprise! Now it COULD be that i DID hear about them, but wrote them off due to there rather stylized look... if that is the case, BOY did i screw up! i LOVE the over the top, Cartoon-y look. They look close in style to GI JOE Sigma 6, a sadly underrated toy line... Big feet, big hands and an animated look all add up to a unique, and in my humble opinion, AWESOME  look. Now, they come in three packaging sizes, $20, $30 and $40 respectively.
For $20, you get one figure, and an accessory. Spiderman gets a blast of web, Hawkeye his bow, Captain America his shield. Now the gear plays into one of the stylized factors about the figures, (also one of the things that resembles the Sigma 6 range) in that the figures have holes on their arms, legs and backs, and the gear plugs into the holes. so Spidey has one hand in classic web shooting pose, and you plug the web in, to get the classic spidey "thiwp" stance...
For the higher price points, you get one figure, and some extra gear. Thor comes with a cape, hammer, and some junk i immediately gave to the little ones.... Iron Patriot fared even worse, with none of the gear he comes with worth keeping, IMHO. The extra $20 you pay for the $40 figs? they light up. badly. The reason i got Iron Patriot over the original armored Avenger, Iron Man? his light up torso looked AWFUL.  Don't get me wrong, i love the range so much i WILL grab the figure, i just when with the better looking figure first. Do i think they are worth the money? yes..... BUT i don't think the extras with the higher value figures are worth the extra cost... it's sad, but i'll still shell out for them, because i like em so much.
