The Larp sword of Fili review

The best part of the festive season? getting mail on a Sunday! Yes indeed, the awesome guys and girls at GlobalGear  got me my Wicked replicas Larp Sword of Fili here in great time, and on a week end too!
First thing is, its BIG. For the weapon of a dwarf, its a BIG chunk of (fake) steel...second, its SOLID. there is NO flex in the core, it feels rock solid in the hand, and it's quite well balanced.

The paint apps are pare for the course for the Wicked Replicas stuff, Good to Great. The blade is light on the paint, making it look a darker steel than say, the Viking sword, but the wood grain on the handle is very well done. There are no bubbles in the latex, and some slight flash and mold lines. But over all, its a clean, sharp casting, with nice detail.
Here's a comparison shot with my Hellfire sword, sword of Fili, and my Viking sword. One thing to note is the sword appears to be a one piece cast, unlike the other Wicked Replica weapons.
Over all I am VERY happy with it, and will be ordering more. It would look great hanging on a wall, and being a rotund, Hirsute vertically challenged fellow (fat, hairy short guy) i am GREATLY looking forward to swinging it round at our next LARP gathering!
